Wow, and to think, he'll completely miss the Halo 3 beta. What a crying shame. "Bookkeeper", eh? Hmmm...

I think what Sharpie was trying to say is that the .223 or 5.56mm round travels in an elliptical trajectory. In Vietnam, when the vets were coming back and reporting on the new Stoner M-16 design, they were stating that the bullets were literally spliting the Vietcong head clean open. The designers were under the opinion that these soldiers were lying or providing mis-information -- however, it was later discovered that the travel pattern of the bullet did cause head masses to explode out the back, and thus validated the claim of these early adopting veterans.

It is still a crazily accurate bullet, very lethal at great lengths. I wish that the AK-108 was more widely available, as it successfully bridged the AK-47 with the M-16 5.56mm round, thereby making a reliable accurate weapon. The Russians, upon learning more about the 5.56mm round (from Vietcong), made their own variants, the 5.45mm round, which mimicked the M-16, but was still inferior. The AK-108 was the best model the Russians produced that merged our great calibre with their outstanding reliablility. It is on my "to buy" list, unless the H & K 416 becomes widely available...
